A couple of people have replied to me reminding me that GNU stuff, 'gcc' and 'gas', are well suited to operating in 32-bit address space. I have two reservations about using the GNU code: 1) I was hoping for a 386 C compiler that could run under either DOS or plain MINIX since I don't have a 386 cross-development system, and 2) Could Prentice-Hall sell a MINIX that contained GNU code? Wouldn't the GNU code really complicate the legal aspects? -- Guy Helmer BITNET: HELMER@SDNET Dakota State University Computing Services AT&T: (605) 256-5315 Madison, SD 57042
