I have looked at the 4.3BSD sources posted to comp.bugs.4bsd.ucb-fixes last year and they seem to have the same problem. Sorry to post this to such a large list but I have heard that the "well known names" associated with the 4.3BSD networking software have unmanagably large email in-trays.
