I don't even play games, but I have 2 kids who do. comp.sys.amiga is pretty much the only way I learn about new games. When a new game appears, I look at a few postings to see itf it looks interesting. This has lead to the purchase of various games for birthday gifts, etc. Similiarly, I have learned of a number of new products this way. I probably would never have bought amigaTEX except for the consistant high praise for it here on the net. (Seems stange to say this in retrospect, after using it- how could anyone get by without it?) I would much rather have everything together in one place (well, two: .tech), skim the headers and read the 10 or so articles a day that look interesting, depending on what I had for breakfast or some other changeable parameter.
