    The "vacation" was fine, thanks.  Keep in mind, however, that
this "civil servant" was working two of those three weeks as well as the
week before Europe.  During the latter, our workshop typically ran from
9)9:00 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. for most of the week!

    I'm glad things ran so smoothly over that  time.  It should have
been so smooth on Friday.  Apparently, our building took a power hit
during the Laboratory Picnic, and my Sun Workstation has not re-booted.
Since it nearly always reboots after a power interrupt, I can only
surmise that something "went South!"  Sigh...
