Message-ID: <1989Jul19.203309.29954@alberta.uucp> Date: 19 Jul 89 20:33:09 GMT Organization: University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Lines: 15 Does anyone know if the ESDI interface card is pin compatible with the standard ST501 interface card? What I would like to do is hook up a standard hard drive to an ESDI interface card. I know that there might be problems with the drive media not supporting the higher density, but its an old harddrive that has been shelved for 5 years, probably overcoated with magnetic coating. What I'm not sure about is whether or not sparks will fly if I attempt to connect my drive to the ESDI controller. Thanks in advance! David Hiebert .sig=OFF
