Weltec PHD ? Recently I saw an ad in _PC_WEEK_ that advertised a portable hard disk that is compatible with all PC laptop computers. It is connected via the serial port. Has anyone used this hard disk. I imagine that it is very slow since it uses the COM port. Does anyone know if they make a larger size than the 20MB size, if so where I can get one? Also does anyone have the address/phone number to Weltec digital, Inc. so I could get more information from them instead of thier vendor BOFFIN , Ltd. The price for the 20MB was listed at $895, is there a cheaper vendor around? Most importantly, those of you who have the PHD how satisfied are you using it? Please reply via e-mail. If there is enough interest I will post a summary. / Jan Genemans | USENET: Jan.Genemans@Dartmouth.edu \ / ADP | UUCP: ...!dartvax!mac.dartmouth.edu!Jan.Genemans \ \ U.S.M.M.A. +---------+------------------------------------------/ \ Kings Point, NY 11024 | "Live long and prosper" -Spock /
