I have received three WordPerfect 5.0 upgrades, and never paid a nickel (not even for the phone calls, which were 800 numbers). But there are other companies that you can report bugs to and you never hear from them again until they want you to send big bucks for an upgrade -- sometimes you can *YELL* at them, citing them selling defective software, and get a free upgrade.
