I have an opportunity to buy an AMAX motherboard at a very reduced price. The company I work for buys a large quantity of AMAX 386/20's, and although they are not a cache 386, they are good if not great low cost 386's. So anyways, I asked about both 386/25/caches and non-cached motherboards. My supervisor said that I should call up AMAX directly to see what they had and what prices they would sell them for. I called them up today and talked with the sales rep, and he said that the only 25mhz motherboard they make is a non-cached one. So I am reasonably sure that this is the one that was reviewed last month in PC Mag.(i think). But I don't have a copy, and we already have the new issue. If you have ANY info about this motherboard, or espcially if you own one, please e-mail me. I need some info on this board. Their 386/20 is a good board, and if the 25 is of similar quality, I would be pleased. He said that it had Phoenix Bios, and supported shadow ram.... Most of the common features and such. Also, if you have a copy of the article, could you please summarize and e-mail or post it, I would appreciate it greatly. thanks in advance lee -- gatesl@netcom.uucp
