Anyway, I think I found a bug in Word 4.0 and wonder if anyone knows anything about it. If you insert a page break just before a character with a hidden format, then the page break is formatted as hidden (I don't think a page break should have a format). Anyway, a print preview shows all as well, but a table of contents will give page numbers without the hidden page break. When printed the file will print without the page break.
