Hall) Organization: North Carolina State University Lines: 22 I'm going to buy a IIcx later this year, and I have planned to buy the diskless version and supply my own mail-order drive. What I have in mind is the Quantum 3.5" 80 or 100 Mb internal. Question is, where do I get it? I have in mind a price from $800 - $1000, including software similar to what LaCie supplies with the Cirrus external drives. Any info you can contribute will be helpful. I'm interested in: * speed (the Quantum 80 and 100 are both nominally about 15ms), * quality of software (different interleave options supported so that I can squeeze the most out of my 68030, and hopefully dynamic repartitioning), * usable instructions and installation info, and * a reputable supplier (pref. like MacConnection or MacWarehouse). I guess if all else fails I can just buy the Cirrus 80Mb external ... but still ... -joseph hall -jnh@ecemwl.ncsu.edu -joseph@ece007.ncsu.edu
