Now that I have done so, I did send Email about the anomaly of telling me I have a 68881 when I have a 68882 installed. Someone said you may be only checking a logical yes or no function which just says there is an FPU rather than actually querying the FPU to see what kind it is. Has your version 2.0 corrected that? #> It sounds to me as though the file type of the MacEnvy file has been #>changed to something other than 'cdev'. This would produce the symptoms The above is true. However, GateKeeper was the culprit. I had to turn it off (and upgrade to a newer version) before I could change the file type. With the old GateKeeper, even with ResEdit I couldn't change the file to a cdev. Steve Goldfield
