Lines: 14 Hi, Chris! Long ago I read somewhere that Apple Tape Backup writes each record out 3 times, for some reason (to ensure a restore in case of tape failures?) But this is only a Genuine Net Rumor, and should be given only such credence as any other. I do know, however, that under Apple Tape Backup prior to version 2.0.1, I was unable to restore a "volume" backup to any other drive! My internal 80 died, and I could not restore the tape to any other internal 80 in our shop. I don't know if this has been fixed in the current release: has anyone had more recent experience? --Cy--
