After I've made a call to this XCMD, if I start any other application that uses sound (either Macintalk or a snd resource) from within HyperCard, the sound either doesn't work, or the application crashes when I an attempt to play a sound. These applications include stacks (like the Manhole and the MacUser HyperDisk), and other programs (like Alphabet Blocks and KidTime). The problem goes away if I exit HyperCard then reenter. Any ideas on how I can fix the XCMD? If not, is there any way I can "reinitialize" HyperCard without exiting so that it has the same effect as restarting? Thanks in advance. Peggy Lerch Ashton-Tate
