This may be a dumb question, but...

I have been using the mail application for a while now, and it seems
pretty nice.  There are two problems with it, however:
1) It doesn't recognize the existence of .mailrc
2) The "addresses" list appears to be useless.

Has anyone got any ideas on how that aliases are supposed to work in
the mail App, and is there any way to easily get existing aliases into it?
