We are thinking of purchasing one as a software development machine supporting 2/3 users. Any pro- or con-comments would be appreciated -- in particular, I have heard nasty rumours (from Sun's competitors) that the 8MB RAM configuration we would buy is inadequate; quote: "You need 12MB to compile anything and 16MB to do any useful work". Any experience as to whether this quote is justified?
