I have a question for you I have a VAX750 running VMS 4.6 AND CMU-TEK TCP/IP v6.3 here in BOSTON and I have a microVAX II running VMS 4.6 AND CMU-TEK TCP/IP v6.3 in SLC. The two vax systems communicate over a leased line running at an unbelievable speed of 9600 baud! Each vax is on an ethernet filled with SUN's which are dying to communicate with one another. Question: Is it possible to configure the CMU software in such a way as to do IP routing over the modem? Is this even technically possible? I have heard of SLIP software (running TCP/IP over asynch lines) is this what I need? I would appreciate your comments or names of people who have the CMU software. Thanks in advance.
