Ansi mode?  I _assume_ you are doing it via an MS-DOS ANSI driver;
if so, then I can't help your dropped characters, the sucker runs like
a dog because of MS-DOS overhead.  

If you are doing ANSI mode without MS-DOS, you aren't using Z-100 Kermit-MS,
because it's all Z-100 ROM (which doesn't support Heath-19 ANSI mode).

News flash... I I think I can get UUPC (a UUCP clone) working on the
Z-100.  Anyone interested?  Otherwise I'll skip it, I use Kendra 
(an Epson III+ AT clone) for my mail.
