You can use anonymous FTP to get them from fnord.umiacs.umd.edu (128.8.120.3), as pub/X11R3onDS3100. There's nothing special about the file -- it's just a copy of Jim Gettys' diffs. I haven't tried them. Please don't all grab these at once, or during normal working hours; fnord's just a Sun-3/60, and I still read my mail there... If you get (from somewhere) a vanilla X11R3 server running on a DECstation 3100, I'd sure like to hear about it. These diffs don't let you make the server, though they should work for the clients. I don't think that anyone outside of DEC knows enough about how the DECstation 3100 frame buffer (pm) to be able to write an X server. Maybe there will be one in 11R4. (I don't really mind running the DECwindows X11 server, but I want to learn how the frame buffer works, on general principles). -Steve Spoken: Steve Miller Domain: steve@mimsy.umd.edu UUCP: uunet!mimsy!steve Phone: +1-301-454-1808 USPS: UMIACS, Univ. of Maryland, College Park, MD 20742
