The original article was psoted 19 June to comp.emacs and gnu.emacs. It expired 11 July, but the responses continued to trickle in, so I waited until they stopped. Newsreader # of responses ----------------------------------- GNUS 140 Gnews 48 rnews 28 batmail 1 RMAIL (hacked) 1 vn.el 1 I also received one response for "terminal-emulator + rn + emacsclient". While not exactly what I had in mind, it's a clever idea. RMAIL made a surprise appearence here also. Someone has actually hacked RMAIL into a newsreader. There were other RMAIL responses but only one indicated that RMAIL actually went to the news spool for articles; the others used RMAIL for reading mailing lists.
