I'd like the ``Mismatched parentheses'' msg to beep when it appears, since in
the haste of typing I often miss it at the bottom of the screen.  I tried to
find the source so I could add a ^G to my own copy at least, but can't find
out where it's defined.  Is there a variable I can redefine so the error
string has a ^G in it, or is the source code around somewhere so I can add
a beep to it?
