Being a central site means you get a lot of mail routed through you. Feeding 10 other sites full feeds is also not free. It needs disk space, modems, phone lines, spare CPU cycles and staff to manage it all. Many central sites have ended up getting computers just to do news/mail, in part just to be nice to other people. They money for this is not chopped liver. Why do people in this group insist on caring about the way that other people run their own computers? If you don't like what they do in Europe, put "na" distributions on your articles. The Europeans will probably thank you for it. I think a lot of non-anarchists are slipping into our little anarchy as time goes by. -- Brad Templeton, Looking Glass Software Ltd. -- Waterloo, Ontario 519/884-7473
