How much should I be willing to pay for a first edition copy of Rachel
Carson's "Silent Spring" ?  I found a copy in very good condition this
weekend with original cover.   Some specks of paint had been worn off
the edges of the cover.  I saw no lines or annotations on the inside
pages, none of which appeared creased.
