The advantages are: You don't have to deal with file protection and ownership on the unix system (if that is one of your problems), binary file transfers, and taking out the ----cut----here--- stuff. I use QUUDCD 2.1 Theodore Kaldis and it has proved reliable. The big disadvantage is that the files are about 50% larger when uuencoded. -- Jeff Davis (JCDavis@lbl.gov)
