The application I currently support uses a vendor-specific ACU for a rack of modems from that vendor. My users would like to be able to use other modems as well. What we need is a device that will hunt for the next available outbound line, dial the number, and then patch to the next available modem. All of the modems have dial capability, but unfortunately I am not allowed to use this feature. The drawing below shows what I think we need.
