Galligher) Organization: Telxon Corporation, Akron Ohio (NNTP with a :-) Lines: 52 Machine: Sun 4/280 SunOS 4.0.3 Telebit Trailblazer at 19200bps Using Serial port B Quick synopsis of problem: SunOS 4.0.3's uucico program does not seem to want to send mail. Receiving mail from remote uucp sites does not seem to be a problem, sending/receiving uucp transmissions (generated by 'uucp' not 'mail') do not seem to be a problem, but sending mail outside of the SUN results in the following excerpt of a -x9 to uucico: proto started g *** TOP *** - role=1, wrktype - S wmesg 'S' D.xxxxB005f D.xxxxB005 send 210 rmesg - 'S' rec h->cntl 40 state - 10 rec h->cntl 40 state - 10 rec h->cntl 40 state - 10 alarm 1 send 210 .... rec h->cntl 10 state - 6000 got FAIL I realize that this is not a whole lot to go on, but it is a definite problem with ONLY mail. I have had a couple of problems with the xmille part08 from osu-cis and that may be related, but I am not sure. Request: HELP!! If any of you have run into something like this before on a SUN, or any system, then I would be glad to hear anything you may have to offer. I have set up a few UUCP sites before and I have never encountered this problem! Please respond by e-mail, and if there is sufficient interest, I will post my results to the net. Thank you all very much. -- Gordon. Gordon C. Galligher <|> ...!uunet!telxon!gorpong <|> gorpong@telxon.uucp.uu.net Telxon Corporation <|> "What are ya standin' around for?
