Lines: 14 Concerning SCSI sync transfer rate: Don't believe anything! Test the drive yourself if you're concerned about speed. There seems to be a lot of drives out there that have trouble maintaining 4MB throughout the data transfer phase. Or maybe I should say that nobody that we've seen can maintain 4MB data transfers. It appears to be a buffer bandwidth problem. The transfer rate decreases further if you enable the Read-Ahead option that most drives support. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chris Nieves UUCP : ccicpg!leo!cgn or cgn@leo.ccicpg USPS : ICL North America, 9801 Muirlands Blvd., Irvine, CA 92718-2521 PHONE: (714) 458-7282 -------------------------------------------------------------------------
