     I have a question concerning X.400. We operate a large
broadband LAN here at USDA.  This network consists of
Ungermann/Bass equipment including a U/B gateway to X.25.  It is
not clear to me whether implementation of X.400 has any affect on
the operation or support of the current gateway.  What
"specifications" should the USDA look for in a replacement gateway? 
Any help or comments would appreciated.
