I'm also trying to bring up tcpdump and am seeing similar problems. I've installed the nit_if.o from LBL and have applied the 4.0 patches for tcpdump. I can successfully transmit raw packets out the Ethernet interface, but when I attempt to read (I haven't tried using getmsg() yet), I seem to get the same data over and over. If a real packet is received, that seems to get passed up, then it reverts to repeating it's default data. This behavior seems to ring a bell about something I'd seen on this list. Please send any hints/ideas directly to me. Thanks in advance. +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Art Berggreen Advanced Computer Communications | | Santa Barbara Street | | (805)963-9431 Santa Barbara, CA 93101 | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+
