We have been attempting to run Van Jacobson's traceroute on a Sun.
We don't see any routes appearing, only the timeout indicators * * *.
I've checked the kernel hack and monitored the input and output
packets with a Lanalyzer.  Everything appears ok but, the returned
packets never seem to reach the traceroute program.  Can anyone
