Spgs. Where can I get the Packet Driver Spec? Is it something only available from FTP Software, since it's usually called the FTP Packet Driver Spec? The machine-readable form of v1.08 (current, but soon-to-be-replaced by v1.09) lives on vax.ftp.com (128.127.25.100). It is accessible via anonymous FTP, cd to pub and get your choice of the Finalword II form (.mss), HP Laserjet binary (.prn) or straight Ascii (.ascii). Alternatively, call Janet Marcisak at FTP (x362) and ask for a printed copy (and maybe to be put on the mailing list for the next draft). Also, how would one integrate it into something like CMU's PCIP package? Would this allow PCIP to use all the different cards that have packet drivers written for them? By writing a "pktdrv" library that works like the "3c501" library but calls the Packet Driver instead. This has been done, and can be found in the Harvard version of PC-IP (maintained by Dan Lanciani on husc6.harvard.edu). James B.
