Nathaniel Borenstein@thu (1176+1) >> Here's the question: is it possible to turn off mail handling within one user's Message's environment? One easy change to fix this would be to make the default UNIX mail spool file a preference. Then he could simply point to some file which won't get mail in it, and his UNIX mail would never be bothered. I ran into the need for this a while back, when I wanted console to look for mail in a filesystem which was NFS-mounted from another machine. The problem is that the name of the mail spool directory gets compiled into the code right now. It should be a preference. (I didn't get around to trying to fix it, though.)
