Subject: Nethack 3.0 won't link after patches (Microport V/AT)

When I first got 3.0, it would compile and link fine
under Microport V/AT V 2.3, though it would frequently
crash when run.  I applied the patches, and all the
modules compile, but I get errors like this during linking:

Loading ...
ld fatal: cannot copy section .data of file options.o
*** Error code 13

Stop.

Which module it has problems with depends on which of the options
I have defined.  Please help, and thanks in advance!
