I would like to be able to transfer binary and tar files through
mail over networks other than the Internet (e.g. BITNET). I know
about uuencode/uudecode but they do not work for BITNET since it
strips trailing blanks which are significant to the information
encoded by uuencode/uudecode. So, I would like to receive, via
e-mail, code for this purpose which is known to work for BITNET
also. As usual,
