This is just a short repost concerning an object I created last year and am offering for sale to the public. It is a Sculpt 3/4D scene file containing a construction of the globe. It contains all the major continents and consists of approximatly 1800 triangles. It requires 1.5Meg or more to render full size. It also comes with a flat mercator projection which can render on a smaller machine ( one needs to include more triangles in the globe object to better simulate a sphere ). This "flat world" can be used for logos, ground motif's etc. NASA has availed of this product as have a number of television stations.
