I got a standard IBM XT modem cable. I got a new one because my old one (serious cludge) as getting worn out and it was acting up. Specifically, it wouldn't hang up. I ould have to turn off the modem to get a dial tone back. My new cable is doing the exact same thing. I suspect that this is due to non-standard lines on the Amiga serial port.
