The UDC controller has a history of problems.  I am using one right now, in
combination with a SCSI Rev C card, two laser 3.5 drives, and a //e with a
TransWarp installed.  On the average the UDC/laser drive combination destroys
a 3.5 disk every three weeks.  other than that, it works "fine."
