Newsgroups: comp.sys.atari.st Subject: 1 Megabit ROMs Keywords: 23C1024 ROM EPROM Message-ID: <254@marvin.moncam.co.uk> Date: 1 Aug 89 15:15:23 GMT Organization: Monotype ADG, Cambridge, UK Lines: 10 Sorry to bear bad tidings, but there isn't, and probably won't be, a 28 pin 1Mbit EPROM equivalent to 23c1024. The mask rom is only feasible because it doesn't need a Vpp pin for programming, and it has only one control pin (OE) besides the 17 address pins. There is the remotest possibility that someone might make the OE- pin double up as Vpp/program enable, but now the 32 pin pack is established, that's unlikely. Looks like you'll need to make an adaptor board, or bend some legs. Dave E.
