Hello World:-)

        I have a problem with my AT&T-dmd-5620 terminal.   I  was
reading  a  file that had a ^[5m in it.  When the file got to the
control sequence my terminal began to produce vertical bars  with
horizontal  lines  through  them.   To date I have been unable to
remove them.  The terminal will not respond to the key board.   I
can  not reset the thing either.  I have tried the simple things:
set up/ctrl shift set up/unpluging it...

        Any ideas would be most helpful:-)
