Message-ID: <1159@vsi.COM> Date: 4 Aug 89 22:00:47 GMT Organization: V-Systems, Inc. -- Santa Ana, CA Lines: 23 Hi folks, I'm rolling my own high-capacity drive for a 3B, and I don't know how many sectors per track I need. The drive is a CDC 94196-766 (766MB) with the ESDI interface, and it's talking to an AT&T Disk Controller Module (DCM/4E). There is configuration header that lets me pick 96, 53, 54, or 51 sectors per track, with 53 being the default. I recall that on my 386 machine and the WD1007 interface I had to change this, so I'm at a loss with this one. The DCM uses an Emulex SCSI-to-ESDI controller, but I can't really tell which is the part number. Anybody have any ideas?
