Both customer service, who checked around for four days and the folks in Roseville, who tried searching for the part number I gave them could find any cross-reference or any information at all. I got some info from a company that provides service for HP systems but no manuals. >> I need technical info, preferably a manual for the 9855 hard disk drive >> used on HP Series 500 systems. > > Do you have a part number, or at least a manual title? I have a subassembly, a PC board, # 09855-69886, which is listed as a "winchester controller." It was manufactured for HP in mid-1984. It is still available from HP but no information about the part is available from HP. > > Regards, Hewlett-Packard > Bob Niland rjn%hpfcrjn@hplabs.HP.COM 3404 East Harmony Road > [hplabs|hpu...!hpfcse]!rjn Ft Collins CO 80525-9599 J DeBert onymouse@netcom.UUCP
