I would like to add support for the 8514 Graphics Adapter to a project
that I am working on.  The catch is that I would like to directly
access the hardware through my application, instead of going through the
supplied drivers.

Can anyone give me a brief run-down on how do some simple things like
setting a pixel, or drawing a line?  I can try to figure out the rest.
[ Yeah, I know...  And then I woke up, right? ]

I'd also be interested in code fragments, lists of books, or any other
information that anyone can provide.
