AFE doesn't remove formatting in the "default translation" ... what's more likely to be happening is that he's not saving the document as a WP/DOS document before the copy. The formats are not compatible, but WP lets you write the Mac document out in DOS format. Then the copy should work. Why isn't there a 'copy' button in AFE along with the 'translate' button? Because Mac files are not like DOS files. They have two "forks" and a "copy" function would simply not work. I believe "translate" simply extracts the data fork. /jordan
