Also a list of reputable third party ethernet boards for Macs would be appreciated. The main machines that I will be networking with Macs are PC's and Sun workstations though (any model Sun from a Sun 2 to the fastest SPARC). Any personal experiences that can be relayed to me will be appreciated also. Our demo system will consist of two Mac SE's, a Sun 386i, a Sun SPARC Station 1, and an IBM AT. All of this will be done via ethernet. I would like something that is fast and reasonably easy to set up application wise. The piece of software must be very social meaning that will will try to communicate with ANYTHING via ethernet. I would also like it to be NFS compatable if possible. I know Suns, I know Unix, and I know PC's, but I am stumped when it comes to Macs (but that is slowly changing). Also, any caveats about hooking up a Mac to ethernet will be appreciated. /*--------------------------------------------------------------------------* * Flames: /dev/null (on my Minix partition) *--------------------------------------------------------------------------* * ARPA : crash!pnet01!jca@nosc.mil * INET : jca@pnet01.cts.com * UUCP : {nosc ucsd hplabs!hd-sdd}!crash!pnet01!jca *--------------------------------------------------------------------------*/
