     My guess as to why MF doesn't bring icons to front is that all the people
at Apple who developed it were using Mac II's with large screens.  In this
environment the icons are generally not covered by windows and this problem
doesn't arrise.  For all the rest of us with small screens, it would be most
convenient if icons came to the front.  Especially icons which represent
applications (i.e. icons created by "shrinking" an application window).
