Well, after 8 weeks, I finally received my order. I included the order form in with my membership application, assuming that the one would be processed as soon as the other was. It seems strange that the shipping date of the order was the day after I posted my message. I would hope that this was just a coincidence. Now I still don't have any membership materials, but my membership number was on the invoice that came along with my order, so I am in business. As for a general recommendation: You would probably be better off sending in your membership application, waiting two weeks, and then calling, instead of sending an order with the membership application. Since Rick F. said that two weeks were needed to process an application, this means that my order must have sat in some stack for quite some time. Another topic: I found out that the Communication Toolkit was available from APDA (after spending about 10 minutes on the phone with them -- yes, I already knew it was available; they didn't) for $80. That amount is a little more than I expected (for someone with very little income, this is kind of like shooting myself in the foot). -Michael p.s. Our UNIX system has the intelligence of a 2-year-old right now, so if you have sent me anything in the last week and I haven't replied, I probably didn't receive it. -- Michael Niehaus UUCP: !{iuvax,pur-ee}!bsu-cs!mithomas Apple Student Rep ARPA: mithomas@bsu-cs.bsu.edu Ball State University AppleLink: ST0374 (from UUCP: st0374@applelink.apple.com)
