I hope that Apple will provide a way for one to specify that
an application should run in supervisor mode.  Debugging new
hardware is much nicer from an application.

If you have to have a driver, the development cycle slows
way down.

On the other hand, I suppose one could always keep a SyQuest
cartridge around with System N-1 on it for these occasions,
where N is the number of the first system that runs applications
in supervisor mode.
