Sorry, but the 1000 family are not AT-compatible (nor were they intended), and therefore do not have the dual-speed (actually three data rates) floppy disk controller required to work with 1.2 Meg (500 Kbit/sec, 360 RPM) and the older 360K capacity (250 Kbit/sec, 300 RPM or the low cap emulation speed on a 1.2 meg drive of 300 Kbit/sec, 360 RPM) drives. In addition, 1.44 Meg 3.5" drives cannot be used, although these will format and work in the 720K mode (same rotational speed as 1.44 Meg). "Thank you, Uh Clem."
