Using the mavelously informative HD upgrade information file supplied by
Frank Durda, I upgraded a 6000 to a Micropolis 70 MB without incident.
Howsomever shortly after said upgrade, we began experiencing intermittent
problems with the FD (mounted adjacent to the HD).

As it turns out, the HD in question produces RFI in excess of the FD's
humble tolerance, and results in sporadic performance.  The most common
symptom being an inability to format floppy disks consistently-- finding
errors about halfway through thence to the end.  (possibly the heads moving
closer to the offending component of the HD) 

A well secured metal shield restored the 6000HD to its former glory :-)
This problem was resolved with the help of a friendly RS repairman who
noted that the FD aligned and formatted properly when removed from the
chassis, but freaked out when mounted inside.  Bravo bravo RS.
