Bravo bravo RS. Most newer 16B and almost all 6000's had the shield, but some older machines could really use them. The shield was mainly used to keep noise from the monitor and power supply from jamming the head amps on the drives. In any event, now you know why Tandon isn't making floppy drives anymore.
