Berkeley Lines: 27 Posting-Front-End: GNU Emacs 18.47.3 of Sun Aug 16 1987 on janus (berkeley-unix) I recently started playing with TeX, and tried to print out some things on my Epson printer at home. A short file worked fine (using dvieps), but a large file had some problems, because I didn't have the right fonts. I have a couple questions. First, in general, how does one create the *.pk fonts? I don't really have any documentation on TeX here (that I have found). I presume they are compiled from the original Metafont fonts into the pk files. What programs do this? And where can I get the original font descriptions. Second, and more specifically, I need the following font files: 288/cmr17.pk 288/cmb10.pk 288/cmssbx10.pk 288/cmu10.pk 288/cmtt10.pk 288/cmssi10.pk 288/cmss10.pk 288/cmr17.pk If someone has these generated already, I would appreciate it if he/she could mail them to me. Otherwise, I would like information on how I can create these font files. Many thanks in advance... -- +----------------------------+ !
